Got a TC Hawkins Hunter had since 1970, was messing with it and could not
remove the clean out screw below the nipple.Began a regime of penetrating oils
soaking the screw. This went on several weeks finally said uncle and gave up before I
ruined the head of the screw.

I call TC now part of S&W they told me to ship to them for repair. Got an email this Morning
its on it's way home fixed no charge. Image that a 40+ year old Front stuffer with a corded screw.
Awesome as far as I'm concerned. Happy Camper. ps

Shocking. I figured they wouldn't even want to see it, since in reality T/C is no more.

That is what I was thinking, I was willing to pay for the repair but
they took care of it. In actuality it is not their fault seeing how corrosive
black powder is and it seen a lot of it. Actually my cleaning was probably
the problem in all honesty. ps

I have a 58 Big Boar, had a small crack in the tang area, sent it to have it fixed, they put on a new stock, there is no movement between metal and wood, inletting is supurb, wood is 3 times nicer than the old one, NO CHARGE. It don't get any better than that.

Good to hear, I have 2 50cal muzzle loaders. A Renegade, and a Hawkins, the last time I needed something I dropped the gun off in Rochester, and it was home in a week.

Nice to know S&W is doing right by T/C owners.

It's been years but I've sent two back to TC one with a cracked stock and one had a problem with the lock. I bought them that way, from a company who was closing out guns. $10 a piece, because of the issues. Both were fixed immediately and no questions. Which they were still in business. I came out pretty well in that deal. Gave one to a friend who would never have been able to afford one.
