I have been looking all over to buy one. Clymer does not make them anymore and I cant seem to find one anywhere. I have 3 Blackhawks that all have a tight spot at the threads and I am getting frustrated. Anybody know where I can get buy one?

I know there is an article on Gunblast ( http://www.gunblast.com/FerminGarza-Firelapping.htm ) by RugerForum's TwoDogs, that address' that situation with a different answer.

BTW, welcome

FWIW, a local gunsmith has the Taylor reamer, however he would be the first to tell you that it works best for oversized chambers such as S&W had on their N Frames years ago. Why not send the gun back to Ruger to be rebarrelled? :?

I called Clymer and the guy told me they do not carry them anymore. Did not see them listed in the Manson catalog....

Contact Gary Reeder. He does an improvement on the taylor throating, he calls it the maxi-throat. It is designed for longer bullets and about 3/8" longer than the taylor throating. Have him deep dish crown the barrel also. You wont be sorry for getting those done.

I would firelap those revolvers myself. A Taylor throat would have to cut out ALL the restriction to eliminate the problem.
