Tang safety rings vs hawkeye rings?

I would like to get a front ring for a tang safety rifle and would like to know whether the old and new ring heights are the same?

I know the front and rear rings are different heights, I just need to know whether old and new sizes are the same?

As far as I know the heights have not changed. The current rings have torx screws and may be a different shade of blue, matte or polished. You need a front ring that is 1/8" shorter than the rear ring. Current numbering system is as follows, #3 is the lowest, then a #4, a#5, and than a #6. A #3 front would use a #4 on the rear, a#4 in front would need a #5 on the rear, and a #5 up front would need a #6 on the rear. Bob!

They have not changed, and Bob is spot on with the number system for the M77 or Hawkeye.
