This is from Chad's Reference of Ruger Firearms.. Never say never but based on this it is unlikely

End label on the box would tell for sure.
Otherwise the $10 confirmation letter from Ruger would tell.

Get the serial # and check ruger 's website, some of my m77s show up there , not all of them . Worth trying though . I forget what year started listing on the web .....

Was 40-45 years ago man, I never took pics. I also saw them at gun shows once or twice.

Ruger in 358 always seem to pop up when my cash flow is low.
I've seen tang safety 77's, blued Hawkeye's, and stainless all weather guns. When a Ruger American in 358 popped up on my local gun trader sight I grabbed it. Great rifle!
I'm considering having a short action Savage rebored to 358 by Jes in Oregon.
