How is the stock trigger on those? I am debating getting one if there is a smith who can doll up the trigger. The alternative is convert an OM 357 for an improved trigger, but I prefer an all steel gun to the aluminum gripframes found on the OM's.
Aggie, I dont have one of the stainless shorty 44 spec Rugers YET.....but I will. That one is a dandy!
Bearstopper, I would love to know more about how you got that handle. You can fit a steel grip frame to your OM's easily enough if they are your preference. However, Clements, Harton, Stroh, and Bowens shop will all turn you out a superbly tuned NM trigger.
A montado hammer SHOULD drop in no problem.
This one didn't. Not doing a how to or a blow by blow in the gallery section. I may do a how to or a blow by blow in ruger smithing once i forget how angry I got or if enough people seem interested.
