O.K., I'll take the bait. I'll talk about Shirley "Cha Cha" Muldowney. She was instrumental in paving the way for women in drag racing. A cool, tough broad who took on the big boys and made her way to the big show. I can't remember the exact date but I was there at U.S. 30 drag strip when she beat Big Daddy Don Garlits the first time.

Hi Mike,

I attempted to address the misogyny regarding the title of your post by responding literally. You wanted to talk about women drivers so I did just that. I am sure you meant no offense to the gals here but I hope they, the female contingent of Rugerforum appreciated my sentiment. Then again maybe they don't. The gals here are able to hold their own and don't need any help from me.
