Reminds me of the deer herds surrounding the Jackson Prison complex in MI. No safer place in the state for deer, as a section with a mile-radius around the prison farms were posted and monitored and any hunter or trespasser would warrant an instant armed response by live-ammo DOC minions. They always filed charges, too. The deer were fat, big-antlered, and roamed the roadside like cats around a leaky milk truck. Untouchable. And I think sometimes they knew it.
