USCCA or CCW Safe?

I've been subscribed to CCW Safe for a number of years, and have not (fortunately) had to call on them for any assistance. My only goal is to have legal support in the event that I am ever involved in a self defense shooting. I see ads all the time for USCCA, including those pushed by Colin Noir, and wonder what people here at rugerforum think about both of these companies and what, if any advantage there would be for me to switch to USCCA. I look forward to comments.

I'm surprised that there has not been a single comment to this thread. Certainly I can't be the only one who has purchased legal insurance for coverage in case of a defensive shooting.

There are multiple threads where this has been discussed, but no reason not to have another.

In the search bar type USCCA and then Search.

I had LegalShield and I changed to USCCA because it had better coverage and a reasonable price. I think their insurance is good and they answer when you call them. I do not like the tiered membership regarding access to training materials.They get you at the lower tier and then frustrate you by only showing you the first training video to make you upgrade and pay more money. They told me some people upgrade for a month to see the videos and then downgrade again. I do not like that business model, but the insurance seems fine.

It would really be helpful if we had, among our many members, anyone who was involved in an incident in which an attorney was needed, and who had one of these legal insurance programs. Years ago I looked into what was offered by the NRA, and asked that company (I forget the name) of who would be representing me if I were a member. They gave me the name of the local attorney, who, when I checked, was a real estate lawyer who made no claim to criminal defense experience whatsoever, let alone 2nd Amendment cases. CCW Safe was reasonably priced for veterans so I went with them. I have never had to call them so I have no real idea how they would respond if I called them after shooting a home intruder or something similar.

I believe it is all a way to separate you from your money. Just my opinion
I agree.....I've been involved in such things in the past and not a single one resulted in charges OR any sort of civil action. It all get's down to what I was taught in the Sheriff's Academy;
When one acts responsibly, there is no liability.

As insurance companies go, never forget that their main objective when needed is to deny your claim.

The current CCW safe yearly price is 179 for a veteran in Texas with CHL.

They have a higher priced plan as well but that’s their basic one.
