I need some help with different options for mounting a sling to a 7-1/2 Super Redhawk. I know of the Uncle Mike's system but other options might be interesting. Thanks in advance for the help. Luis

use an old style double barrel rifle mount (base & swivel) that uses two small screws, and drill/mount out under the barrel and a 'sling' swivel stud mounted into the bottom of the grip frame....saw one done on a old model Hawkeye some shows back..........

Another way to go.
Get a Boyt OD Green Pistol Case for the Super RedHawk.
Pick up one foot of 1" OD Webbing, available at most Army Surplus Stores.
Pick up 4 each 1" Dee's. Stainless Steel is preferable for long life.

Now use about a 2" piece of the webbing to attach the Dee's to the inside of the loop handles. Position the Dee's far enough up the handles from the case body that they will touch with the case closed.

Now get a sling strap to attach to each pair of Dee's. I am using an HK MP5 Submachinegun carry strap.

Carry the Boyt Case like a Possible Bag, with the strap across the body. When stalking leave it unzipped on the end for access like a Horizontal Shoulder Holster. Leave zipped for ATV/UTV transport, getting it in and out of stands, etc.

I have been using this system for the last 2 years carrying my 480 Super RedHawk in the hunting field. It protects the handgun, and works well.

Get one of these for the butt

Then get a clamp on barrel band for the for the front swivel.
