Does anyone have information about whether or not Ruger will ever produce the Toklat chambered for .44 Rem. Mag., in addition to, or instead of, the only current choice of .454 Casull?

A super RH could easily be made to mimic a Toklat. That said, my Toklat is one of the best shooting and accurate revolvers I have ever shot and I own a bunch of revolvers, both SA And DA.

Never say never when it comes to Ruger. That being said, I had a 480 SRH chopped down to 4.75" by Bayside Custom. It was great, but I wanted a 44. I sold it and bought a similar SRH in 44 mag that was cut down to 5" by Mag-Na-Port.

I have showed pictures of these to the folks at Ruger while at the Annual NRA shows requesting they bring out the Toklat or something similar in other calibers. I didn't get much response.

I bought a pair of the 454C's when they came out, and I made the phone call to Ruger to ask about the 480R and 44mag versions - they said, at the time, which would have been, what, 3-4yrs ago? - they do intend to bring the 44mag version to market, pending the success of the 454C version.

However, with the advent of the Kodiak Backpacker and the 44spcl GP100, they might have refocused their efforts since that time.

Easy enough to pay a smith to cut and crown a 7.5" and slabside a standard SBH. The milled base foot for the new front sights are a little wonky, but a guy with a mill will get it done easily enough.
