Super Blackhawk variation?

I just picked up a super Blackhawk, I was not really looking for one but this one stumbled into my hands and I could not say no.
I know at one point it has been altered, the barrel has been cut and magnaported.
But my question is, did they ever come from the factory with an anodized -silver grip frame, (square trigger guard) ejector rod housing and base pin? The rest of the pistol (except for the sides of the hammer which are silver) are high polish blue. Serial number indicates it is a 1978 vintage. Or was this something someone did to this pistol?

Definitely not factory.

Why do you think the parts are anodized? Typically only aluminum alloy parts are anodized. Do they match the sides of the hammer? Are you sure the parts are not just polished bright like the hammer? If they aren't as shiny they probably have a Metalife or similar coating.

That sounds like a "Mag-na-Port" package.

Those with extensive "Ruger" libraries will recall that Bill Ross' book, Ruger Flattops and Super Blackhawks contains some info on the Mag-na-Port guns.

What 'Flatgate' said, or even a 'clone' lots of shops "copied" mag-Ma-Ports work, AFTER they had the gun "ported by them....saved bunches of money
Or it may just be "in the white" (finish polished off...) try a magnet, and a bit of cold blue (under the grips) will tell you instantly.........

The parts are steel a magnet sticks but not to the ejector rod housing. The parts are not shiney so Metalife or something might be right. Trigger work was done and it shoots nice. I have seen a picture on this forum of another Super with the same two-tone look I just cant remember where it was.

well if a magnet 'sticks' to the them, then you know they are steel, therefore NOT 'anodized', and as for the "matte" could be Metalife or Armaloy, etc but we did a few in stainless and just glass beaded the stainless to get the "matte" effect, that works well.....still a nice sounding gun, and they do shoot well.

What color is the front sight or its insert? Green possibly?

No front insert at all. But the barrel has been cut down so possibly it is not the original site.
