Super Blackhawk Question

I have Dougans books but I still can't find a definitive answer. Would my Ivory gripped Super BlackHawk serial number 19009 have been shipped in a wooden display case?

I think I found the answer. No. Most were shipped between 3000 to 8000. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

The original Mahogany boxes were all gone by that high a number of the Supers. And,, there weren't any factory ivory grips either.

When I talked to a lady at Ruger by phone she said they couldn't tell if they went out with cardboard or wood box. Her word is all I have to go on.

When I requested a letter on mine, s/n 4996 with Mahogany box, I asked again. My letter only states the Model and ship date of August 1960.

The boxes are far more rare than the gun.

I agree with contender though that 19009 is years past the mahogany box era.

I don't think I am an expert but, I do own a few of them.
Been in Montana at my Fathers funeral.
Your serial #19009 will have an Aluminum ejector housing & large serial numbers along with a beautiful high polish it would have shipped in the 2 peace black & red end box.
Ruger did not do factory Stag or Ivory grip for the Super Blackhawks.
If I repeated something that was stated above sorry.
