yes you did. and I agree. I don't pay good money for ugly. I can get ugly in a high point and they go bang every time too.

I like going to the range, especially since Cute Women have started shooting, so no problem for me. Plus, I get to shoot with young guy's at the outdoor range and help the guy's from the hood learn how to shoot at the indoor range.
I haven't made it out to shoot since the Sunday before the Fourth. I don't have a place to shoot here. I do have some family & friends that own places where I can shoot. That day I loaded up the wife & kids (girls 16 & 18, son 10) & my wife. I grilled hot dogs here. We took them, chili, chips, the fixings for all that & a watermelon over. I went out back after we ate & while the others visited I spent time shooting handguns with each kid. Trying to work with them where they are at. I got to shoot my little Max-9, Browning Buckmark, & PSA Dagger some with them. Even put a few rounds through the little Kahr CM9. I wanted to see how the oldest girl did with it. I don't think her & it are a match.

While they are probably not the prettiest I have never thought Glocks are particularly ugly. I've never owned one. The closest thing I have is a PSA Dagger (3rd generation Glock clone). There are enough Glock clones around now that accept Glock parts it is somewhat interesting. You can mix or match parts from different manufacturers to get what you want. That platform seems to be going the way of the AR-15.
Heat & humidity here in central FL will keep me away from the out door range. When I lived in AZ it was just the heat (100+*). Up north in da YouPee & RC SD, the opposite in temps kept me away. But sometimes I'd tough it.

10/22 fans probably already know or have other work arounds but I had my new LULA 10/22 loader this past weekend.
As simple as it is, maybe overpriced, I'll continue to use it.
No real testimony it makes loading much faster but I seemed to fill up quicker with less finger ouch and back to on target.

I don't live far from Contender, I shoot at Polk County Gun Club, Service Rifle Match this Saturday (I am sure it will HOT!). I won't be shooting this month due to some cardiac stress (a-fibb) I am currently experiencing. Cardioversion lined up for Friday afternoon. Hope things return to normal.

Is it preferable to shoot when it's chilly for people?
I'd rather roast in the heat for an hour than be outside in "sweater weather" shooting but I'm also not in an area with 60 degree winters either
I shoot when I can and if it 98 out, I'll wear a hat

We get the best of both worlds (or worst depending on the view of it). In winter time we look at 8am forecast temps and if less than 10degrees above freezing, with think hard about going. One of winter mornings we did go with low temps we froze our buts off and said not again, either go later in morning or don't go. Totally agree with you on which side better, rather be hot than freezing. In the heat I've found more enjoyment shooting rifles from under shade at longer ranges than standing uncovered at 7-15 yrds with a pistol.

It feels like summer time is when it's time to shoot the blackpowder rifles at the covered rifle range. Or just finding shade and shooting some DA revolvers.
I've tried to shoot in the bitter cold and it feels like a waste of ammo, if it's painful to be outside or I have to wear gloves, it's too cold for me

Gateway, back in the day was open all year round, so I was trying to get across town in 1989 when it snowed, but they closed the bridges.
Shot on the 200 yard line in those rifle matches before the new cover were added, my butt crack was a rain gutter many a Saturday.
The older I get the less tolerant I have become of temperature extremes. I have a healthy distaste for cold- that’s anything under freezing in my book. I enjoy the heat as long as I can be in the shade. I’m a big guy on the thick side- so I sweat like a pig in the direct sun. Likewise, if it’s cold and I have appropriate clothing- I sweat too. Nothing is worse than being all layered up and soaked with sweat.
I shoot on BLM land- it starts within a mile of my home. Nothing beats a table, chair, easy-up shade and some steel targets.

I was in Jacksonville for just a year in 1989. I had just purchased a 4x4 and I remember that afternoon we had snow. At dark I took it to an empty food lion parking lot and did donuts until satisfied.
