I went to Turner's Outdoor to PU an XD40 I bought. Glancing in the sparsely stocked case there was a pair of used 4" 38 cal Charter Arms. One the blue was very worn ($399) and the other looked like it spent it's life in the bottom of an ocean fishing tacklebox (369). The real shocker though was the Ruger SS GP100 for $1,000.00 or how about a 95% Single Ten for $1,500.

I looked at a display case in lgs. Old Armies, Vaqueros, S&W 57, .41M, all &1,000 and more. High prices are here, for a while.

gun show prices. Prices
doubled on firearms. AND ammo, a box of 50, 40 S&W was $80.00. I did not buy any. greg

I'm tempted to sell a few, but I don't desperately need the money right now, and I've already whittled my small stash of firearms down to pretty much my essential needs/wants. But at my gun club recently, I was offered $600 for a Ruger P97dc and I was tempted. (And my range visits have been greatly reduced because I do not want to deplete my diminishing inventory of ammunition to the "oh crap" level).

I just bought a XD40 with 13 mags and 1000 rounds of ammo for $1,000. Seemed reasonable given the current situation. I'll get $150-200 back selling 10 of the mags. Maybe I'll load them and add $7.50 for the ammo.

Everything is going UP and portions are getting smaller.
Hell, have you tried to get your LearJet washed and waxed lately...... GEEZE.

Went to the Old Town Trading Post the place was pretty much bare! No ammo no re-loadind supplies very few
firearms at ridiculous prices. Wish I stayed home. ps
