I really like my four incher but I've seen mention that Davidson's had a run of 5" stainless GP-100's made awhile back.

I'm kicking around trying to locate one so for those that have one how do you like them, accuracy and handling wise compared to a 4 or 6 inchers ?

It's just me but I'm not overly fond of long (over 6") barrel revolvers and my stainless 5.5" Redhawk in .44 Mag is about my limit barrel length wise.

I was holding out for the 5" bbl but a deal came along for a 4" and I just couldn't pass it up. The 5" has the perfect look to it. The balance has got to be great. I know you can use the "Gallery of Guns" to find the GP100 that you are looking for. http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=1740&index=2&mfg=Ruger&mdl=All&cat=1&type=Revolver&cal=357&fin=&sit=&pid=&inv=

Yep, Davidson's has a good selection of GP's now including 3 inch, 4 inch, 4 inch half lug, the 5 inch, and 6 inch blue.

They are very trustworthy, easy to deal with and will ship a gun to your local FFL Davidson's dealer overnight at a good price. I have bought several Rugers from them and if there is any problem with the gun they will take care of it (Davidson's guarantee) for as long as you own it.

Not a commercial for Davidson's just saying how satisfied I have been with them. I think they are probably Ruger's #1 distributor. 8) 8)
