I've seen on some other pistol forums people talking about spraying some CLP into the trigger area of their gun and then later blowing it out with compressed air with the result being a very nice and smooth trigger pull. Has anyone tried this? I am a little reluctant to start spraying something into an area that I cannot wipe down and relying on compressed air to get all the excess CLP out of the trigger area. Has anyone done this before or something similar?

Just saw your post too and was hoping someone had responded! I was on an XD forum looking around and a couple people sprayed CLP into the mechanism with the straw, let it sit, spray more to "rinse" and then blew out with air and they said it did wonders for the trigger. It just got me curious if anyone had done this with their SR9C... we'll just have to wait and see what people have to say.

That is pretty much what I do several times per year to Keep clean with a couple exceptions. 1) I'm using the Gunscrubber cleaner (poly safe formula) , 2) I use a cotton swap to remove residue where I can, 3) I blow off real well, then spray a light layer of LPS (or other very light non dirt attracting oil) to protect the metal from corroding and keep action smooth, then I blow again and wipe any excess.

Not many other choices other then this, neglect it, or remove innards and individually clean which will eventually lead to oversized pressed fit pin holes.

On my SR40c when I clean it I spray the crap out of the trigger with CLP, let it sit then spray it again. I have not had any problems since my initial 50 rounds and i am up to 1400 through the pistol.

I can not attest to helping it smooth out the trigger as I always thought it was fine.... That is until ibought my black Hawk and found out what a smooth trigger really is.

I've cleaned my SR9 about 3 or 4 times already since I got it. Used Break-Free Powder Blast in the trigger area followed by Ballistol followed by compressed air. Trigger does feel smooth, although it "bleeds" a little oil (similar to the oil spots you see on an AR-15). Maybe i'll do a quick blast with BFPB to dry it up a little...
