I know this topic has been beaten to death. Still, I haven't seen opinions addressing my situation.

I recently purchased a SR9c. Sweet pistol. I want ONE holster to carry it--either concealed or open. I have an SP 101 which I carry in a silver dollar pancake holster from simply rugged, which can be used inside my waist band (I have the optional straps for this purpose) or ride outside on my belt. This holster works well for either concealed carry or open carry--it is light, comfortable, holds my revolver firmly, and allows for a quick and easy draw.

What I would like to find is ONE holster that would work as well for both concealed and open carry for an SR9c. Ideas?

I just asked a custom holster maker about getting an IWB for the SR9c. He tried to find a model, but the model makers told him they needed four requests before they would make one. So he put his official request in. Hopefully there will be three more soon. I would have thought there would be more demand by now.

A pancake style holster again would suit your needs I'd think, something like the Mitch Rosen models available from www.shopruger.com may work (and won't have you waiting weeks/months to get it either).

I use an Uncle Mikes #16 IWB holster to carry my SR9c. IT fits well and is comfortable in the small of the back.

Have you looked at the Simply Rugged Cuda? They list it as available for the SR9 and SR9c.

This may help you out some. DM Bullard Leather in Azle, TX has a dual carry holster that is three in one. IWB, IWB tuckable & OWB. He has a long wait right now(4 months +) but his stuff is top quality. I had an OWB belt slide from him that was great. Check it out.

Try Ray Cory @ Lobo... www.lobogunleather.com .
He's great to work with and is very reasonable. He will build anything you need to your specs. Had him make a holster for a 3" Smith K that was very nice...I'm sure the SR9C no problem.

Don Hume IWB clip H715M, No. 36-1, about $25.

888-231-7678 a source to purchase or go to Don Hume website.

This one is from DeSantis, a good name in holsters. About $70.

Or try Brommeland holster site for very high quality stuff.

I find that I use the cheapest Don Hume holster, mentioned above, most often. It fits my Glocks as well as my CZ and the SR9c.
You should take your gun to a decently-large gun show and they usually will have a Don Hume table there, and you can try out your gun for fit.

There are also several on ebay right now, you can find them by searching "ruger sr9c". A couple good looking leather ones imo....

I just got mine from Holsterworld.. Got it on E-Bay ( Ya I know) for $16 delivered. It's a combo IWB and belt.. Well made for the bucks. May send them a list for pricing and dump my other holsters..

I have a RossLeather, model PD1S paddle OWB. It is actually for a Glock 26 but fits perfectly. Only difference is the Glock has a squared trigger guard and the SR9c's is rounded. Has full leather paddle which is very comfortable. Stays tight to the body. Forward cant.
