Hey Guys,

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I went to the firing range yesterday and shot about 175rounds. I was using S&B and on number 145, my trigger never resetted back. I shot and it fired, then trigger didn't reset. So I tap the mag, pulled the slide, and ejected the casing, and fired rest of my mag. I was curious has this happend to anyone else? First time for me and I've shot about 1k rds in it. And I have ultimate trigger in it. Thanks.

Yes. Only it was on my SR40C. You need to clean the trigger mechanism real good. Mine did it a bunch of times on the first 50 rounds. Had the GunSmith at my Local LGS look at it and he took it apart and cleaned it for me. The next time I had a problem was a couple of range trips later and it happend one time after about 230 rounds, then shot another 20 rounds with no problems. since then I have goon 500 rounds in between cleaning with no problems. When it doesnot reset you can push the trigger forward with your finger and it will reset. Now when I clean my SR40c I always make sure that I clean blow out the trigger mechanism by blowing CLP through it a couple of times while I have it field stripped.

Yeah, new one on me. The trigger assembly I've never cleaned on my SR 9. Sounds like this would be something other than a cleaning issue, no?

Some have reported it as a cleaning issue (Plastic shaving in trigger assembly) but most have sent theirs back to Ruger for that problem. In mine I just adjusted the Trigger Bar Reset a little and took care of the problem for me.

It could be the trigger bar binding on the frame plastic. Some of them are bent a bit from 90 degrees which causes binding.
