SR9 handloads

Just returned from the range for the second trip with a new SR9 9mm. It seems to like several different loads, but the best is 4.8 grains of Universal clays behind 115 gr RNP. So far either Barry's or Rainier shoot pretty much the same. Have only shot 150 rounds with it and am getting 2" groups at 7yrds. Since this is only my second 9mm, (traded in a S&W Sigma on the Ruger) I feel pretty good about those groups. Need to tweek the sights a little, but am going to wait until I am more familiar with the gun. I think I'm still pulling them to the right a little. If anyone else handloads for the SR9 I'm open for suggestions.

That sounds like a good load choice to me. I use tons of Universal powder in everything from 9mm to light 44 magnums.
My current pet load is 4.4g of Universal under 124g Precision Delta FMJ bullets with Federal Small Pistol Magnum primers at 1.140 OAL. My Ruger SR9C and Taurus PT99 both love it.

Hey Bill, like you, I went from the Sigma 9mm to the SR9...and haven't looked back. My current load is 6.7 of HS-6 with either Barry's 115 or 124 (Lee book indicates the same measure for both bullet weights). I'm using Winchester primers, and have better accuracy and feeding than with any factory ammo I've used.

Thanks guys for the info. Sal I will give that site a try. The price is definitely cheaper that I can buy berry's or raineirs here.
