SR22P rear sight adjustment question

Hi Folks

My SR22 from the factory is shooting about 4" low at 15 yds. I want to make sure I have this right before I go out and adjust it. I need to adjust the rear elevation screw counter clockwise to bring the groups up ? Anyone know approximately how much I need to turn the screw, half turn, full turn ?

Yep, turning the elevation screw counter-clockwise will bring your impact point up. My SR22P was slightly low too when new. I found about 1/2 turn raised the impact point about 2", so I would advise going slow with your adjustments. Shoot a few 3-shot groups, check the results, adjust further as needed.

Yes, I had to move my groups up about 1 inch at 25 feet. Just a couple of CCW clicks.

Usual Ruger sight deal is CCW = Raise or Right

Huh good info.. I took mine out this weekend for the first time shoot 2in groups at 7 yrds with my cheap o laser i got for it..
was so excited I didnt even check to see how the site was on..ill check it better this weekend when im out.. but now I know which way to turn if needs...
