sR22 slide markings

Just got my SR22 and noticed something different.
My slide only says "SR22" while others I have seen say "SR22 PISTOL". I guess it is less expensive to shorten the engraving. Has any one else noticed this change?

Yep, Ruger deleted the “Pistol” stamped on the slide about 4 months ago I believe.

Actually, the decision was made at the SHOT Show in Jan. I was standing with Mr Fifer when he looked at an example of a slide w/o the word "pistol" on it. I'm sure it took a while to use up the slides already marked with "pistol" before they switched.

I don't have the earlier version in front of me right now, but I wonder if the change had something to do with Ruger trademarking the name SR22? Note that the new laser marking has a tiny TM after it.
Not sure if the ones that say "SR22 PISTOL" have that on them or not.
Looks like the change might have happened right at about #20000
