SR1911 Trigger Question

Hi Guys. After waiting several months my lgc called last Thu and said they had my SR1911. Hurried down to pick it up before it disappeared. The test fire date was only 9 days earlier. For those keeping up with the colored dots mine was yellow and has been removed and placed on the test cartridge envelope for safe keeping. Took it to the range yesterday and it is very accurate right out of the box. Very happy with the gun, but do have an issue with the trigger. There is a gap between the bottom of the trigger and the trigger guard. My finger naturally falls into this gap which caused some discomfort. Also the access hole for the trigger adjustment screw has a sharp edge causing more discomfort. On my Sig 1911-22 this hole is countersunk and causes no problems and the trigger gap is not an issue either. Before anyone says my fingers are too soft I do not plan on changing them and I am keeping both guns. Any suggestions?

My trigger also had a burr (around the adjustment screw hole) and would tear up my finger while shooting.
I De-burred it with a file. And eventually replaced the trigger myself with a solid shorter trigger.
As far as the gap???? Show me some pics.

Thanks for the response. No pictures yet, however the gap can be seen in your photo. It is between the inside of the trigger guard and the base of the trigger below the adjustment hole.

That has never been a problem for me.
Maybe you need to concentrate on your trigger pull, remember to have your hand up as high as you can on the grip and pull the trigger straight back.
I think if you deburr that hole in the trigger that the little gap under the trigger will not be a problem.
