This already may be posted somewhere on here but here goes. I had a wilson combat 1911 in my hand and the guy asked to to pull the slide back. It was so smooth like rubbing 2 pieces of glass together. So I came home and got both my SR1911's out and tried the same thing. It was a noticeable difference. I broke them down and looked at the slide channels etc. I noticed some rough looking machine work, I took some 1200 grit sandpaper w/CLP and went to work on those channels and on the frame> finally buffing all areas with a dremel tool using a polishing wheel and jewelers rouge to a mirror finish. Reassembled using clp and now have the same feel as the Wilson combat. Took about 1.5 hrs to do. To answer your question> no play in the slide to frame !
