SR 45 Slide

Reassembling my new to me SR 45. The slide won't go fully to the rear so I can lock it back. Ejector is down, trigger fully forward and it stops even with back of frame . any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?

Daa it helps alot to put the recoil spring in correctly.

Take your spring in the front of the slide & try moving it to the left or rt. My new SR-45 was doing the same thing & that's what I did & it worked
