Made my weekly visit to my favorite Gun Shop; First Stop Gun and Coin,
Rapid City, SD, the other day.

Looking through the cabinet of Single Actions, in the corner was something
new.

It was a brand new Ruger Vaquero with what looked like a 3-1/2" barrel.

It was neat and compact. Must be something new by Ruger/Lipsey.
Just thought I'd pass that along if any one need's it.

See Yeaw

It's something new alright. It's a "New Vaquero" that says "Vaquero" on the side of it. Lots of talk already about this gun.

I have the 4 5/8 stainless version on order. Do I understand that it is marked "Vaquero" not "New Vaquero". That could get confusing about twenty years from now.

Correct.

Very much like S&W and their use of M&P: describes a K frame a line plastic autos and a custom shop 5" N frame...
Chief's Special either a J frame or a small 3rd gen auto
Bodyguard: either a hammer shrouded J frame or a new plastic 380 or a new plastic revolver....
Time for some creativity!

Correct.
As if we didn't have enough trouble explaining new and old model Ruger single actions!
