Do not believe so but a call to Ruger with the serial number will tell you for certain.

The factory offered a 'speed hammer' that appears as if it were be 'bobbed'' (but was made without a spur) and is checkered. It can be found in DAO and SA/DA modes. Was also avaiable as a part.

The factory hammer is a true spurless hammer, it's checkered on the top of the hammer but you almost have to partially cock it in order to be able to even see the checkering.

Hmmm - that's almost like someone added a short spur to an original 'speed hammer'. I assume the checkering that you've referred to is on the very top of the hammer (next to the rear sight).

Ruger has come up with some odd, short run, hammers like the DAO ring hammer (like a Colt Commander hammer) on the SP-101 'State Dept. ' model.
A call to Ruger Records might shed some light.
A better photo would help.

I have one in my Security Six that I got from Numrich. It's DA/SA but I really don't ever use it for SA since you have to pull the trigger halfway to cock the hammer.

With a Bullseye spring kit, this "speed hammer" still has no problems popping CCI primers.
