Speaking of Beretta...

I guess this is neat, but I'm not really sure I understand the point of a full sized, "tactical" .380.
I cannot find this article online anywhere so I'm just going to post a picture of the one I'm reading. I'm sure there's plenty of reviews on it online somewhere.

Smaller grip? Some people are very recoil sensitive, especially wimmen and old guys with arthriits.

It doesn’t look like a smaller grip. Even if it is, look how far forward the trigger is. Someone with small hands would have trouble reaching it.

It doesn’t really matter. It’s the right gun for someone. I don’t need to understand it.

I doubt the .380 is lower recoil than the 9mm, given it's a blowback design with a fairly light slide. I don't really get it either, and I'm a fan of both small cartridges and threaded barrels.

Opinion only, but this may be a choice in countries or areas where the max bullet size is regulated.

I don't see it, 380 I have are compact for concealment in light clothes.

in full size I'll stick with these, Mrs. Bee likes the overmold grip.

Those are Plus Size.

A friend who was an LE pilot back in the 90's carried a snubby 66 in a shoulder rig until his agency mandated the Beretta. The first time I saw him with it, I said "nice Horse Pistol" - he smirked but replied that it did shoot good.

Back to the OP, another buddy just picked up the 80X in 32. He has severe arthritis and is hoping the recoil impulse will be favorable to allow him to keep shooting.

I think the original Beretta 92s had the safety on the frame, which is why the Taurus versions still have a frame-mounted safety (Taurus didn't move it up on the slide when Beretta decided later to "update" the design). And I agree, I prefer the safety on the frame!

They did. But the military and police wanted a decocker, so up to the slide it went.

A bunch of countries have banned the sale of "military caliber" guns & ammo to civilians. I'd bet a dollar to a donut that our own "Gun Ban Party" is well aware of that approach, and wouldn't mind trying it here in America...
