Short and simple: a guy I know has an SP101 that has had the trigger guard chopped off rough and has had the hammer bobbed roughly also. He wants to sell it, and I could probably get it from him pretty cheap. But I don't really like the above mentioned modifications.
I'm sure I could buy a standard or factory spurless hammer easily enough, but what about the trigger guard? I've never worked on an SP101, is it simple to replace the trigger guard? Does Ruger sell it on it's own or do they sell the trigger assembly as a whole?
