I carry the SP101 and the LCR357 all day every day. I have shot both of them a lot. the Sp101 has only been shot with 125g. 357 mag ammo. The LCR has had some 38+P but, most of the time it gets 357 125G. JHP. I like shooting the LCR and it has 3000 rounds through it with no troubles. There is no top strap problems and no loosening up. The Tamer Grip takes care of the recoil and it is painless. The last time I shot it I put 150 rounds of 357 and 100 rounds of 38+P through it. If people don't shoot much I see how they may think the recoil is excessive. I have been shooting 357 for 30 years. It has always been my favorite. I enjoy shooting my LCR357 the most of any I own. If you are going to carry 357 Ammo for self defence you should use125G. JHP. This is the #1 stopper in the caliber. The 158G. normally has too much penetration.

I pocket carried the SP101 2 1/4" hammered 357 until I got the LC9 for the pocket. It was usually only for a few hours at a time and carried in a gallco pocket holster wearing dockers or dress pants. It was workable, but I never carried all day where the weight might be more noticeable. I never had much issue with the hammer with proactive draws.
