Doc,
As usual your photography skills are excellent!!
I really like the out of focus back ground in this
photo. It really makes the sharp attention to detail
standout on that cacti flower.
Thanks for sharing.

That's the kind of pic that Miss Penny loves to see. She enjoys taking pics of flowers & things like that.
Great pic!

Doc, the only way I could like that picture more was if I was the one that took it. That picture was well composed, and I like the 5 arms of the cactus. Great eye!

Very nice composure, I'd guess you played with the F stop to shallow
out the depth of field? In old photography terms anyway, not sure what
a digital camera would do to achieve the same result.

.45flattop:Depth of field is a function of the aperture[f-stop] in digital as it is w/ film. Thanks to all for looking. Dr.C

Very nice! Got a new camera this past summer and started taking nature pics and was finding some really nice surprises in taking pics of flowers and what mostly is seen as everyday plants.
Keeping the center flower in such great focus while the rest is in different stages of focus is really interesting. Likin' it! :)

doccash: I just ran across your picture (above). It's FABULOUS. Any problem with setting it as my desktop/background? Sure hope not because I already did :D
