Normally I don't care for the Texas Stars in spalted wood grips since with all the lines and different colors it just looks too busy.

But, the customer wanted these and I have to say, I think he was right. I think this set turned out really beautiful and they will go out to the customer tomorrow.

Once again, your work is ART!!!!!!!
I'd love to find some spalted maple myself to work with. I think that stuff turns out the nicest custom stocks ever.

Hi,

Was gonna agree w/ Cary that the stars looked a mite bit busy w/ the grips off the gun, but once he put 'em on there, they look great!

(Course all of Cary's grips look great... ;) )

Absolutely beautiful grips paired with the stars. Hmmmm, i may have to order a set for my birth month OM BH. After all only having one set of your grips in my collection is not enough.

Off topic a little, but............

My wife and I were recently at a craft fair when I noticed some wood turnings; bowls, vases, things like that, and some were spalted maple. the craftsman started to explain to me what "spalted wood" was when I told him I already knew. He was astounded that anybody had any knowledge of spalted wood. I told him it was a Chapman named Cary that had contributed to my education.

Thanks for that, CaryC!

Oh, and P.S. Those ARE some beauties!

Cary,

I'm not a big fan of CCH guns. Probably because I've never before seen on with a set of your grips on it.

They look like they belong together, absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for the pics,
DM
