Snowing on my house

After listening to the weather prognosticators last night you would have thought that a blizzard was due to arrive here. I have about 3/4" of 'white and fluffy' on my front porch.

Hi...
Here in South Central PA I have about 2-3" of light and fluffy snow.
We had about 2" a couple days before Christmas as well.
Township plowed the cul-de-sac after the last snow.
They plowed this morning before 7AM. Cold out there but the sun is melting what snow is on the deck and driveway.
Dogs were happy with the snow...Me, not so much.

Here in Memphis it is almost 1" deep and drifts up to nearly 2". Schools closed, everybody advised to stay home.

Water is freezing that is left outside.

No snow here.... some left on the ground from previous storms, though. Now for the good news... it got all the way up to 4 above today.

Not so bad in Southern Oregon but schools have been shut down all week due to heavy snow and nasty iced up roads. Temps hovering around the lower 20s. Not as bad as it used to be in Juneau, AK but we had equipment to handle it there. I almost miss my snowblower.
I probably won't live to see another snowfall here. This one is a record and what with the global warming some here continuously warn about this might be the last one ever.

Normal winter weather here. Yesterday morning snowing on top of already 18 inches on the level with temperature minus 36 degrees at daylight. It has stopped snowing this morning and warmed up to minus 18 degrees at daylight. The snow is about 25 inches deep. Stars are out so the sun will shine today.

The snow missed me, just south of Chattanooga, TN, yesterday getting only flurries. I wake up to an unexpected 1 1/2" this AM

It was all over the news yesterday. You would have thought we were going to get a blizzard. I saw two trucks spreading salt on the interstate yesterday morning on my way to work. I have never seen them prepare that much for it here . When I got up this morning I see a dusting of snow on my shed roof & on the ramp I built for the riding mower. Other than that I don't see anything here though I did read a report on where some black ice is locally. Maybe North Georgia got more but all we have is slightly more dangerous driving conditions.

Now I see Cholo's post I guess North Georgia did get some. I wonder if my relatives in Talking Rock got any.

Hi...

The lying liar (aka TV meteorologist)that said we wouldn't get any snow here in southcentral Pa. messed up again.
Snowing off and on all morning....covered the deck and the roads.
My wife had to work today, so now I get to worry about her driving on snow-covered roads. She is experienced in driving in the snow and has a 4WD Jeep but I worry about the other people who drive on snow-covered roads as if the roads were clear and dry.

Four feet deep here and minus 4.
you're right up the road from me (bend). we're running out of places to put the snow, and, it's snowing again!!

We were spared the snow. It was raining until 0200 then just stayed cold. It's supposed to continue cold until Wednesday, when it's predicted to be in the 70's........

Hi...
The lying liar (aka TV meteorologist) finally got it right.
No snow overnight, just as they guessed...but it is cold, 12F here at 8:00AM or so.
Has warmed up to 18F at 10:00AM...think I will stay in the house all day.

Looking at the road in front of the estate...it appears that the sun melted all the snow and ice off the road surface yesterday afternoon.

Snow here yesterday. Today freezing rain has been going on all morning. I stayed home from work.

As of yesterday all but one of the 50 states had snow on the ground, the lone holdout was Florida. There have been times however when all 50 had snow on the ground.
