Many HEB and Walmart stores were closed Saturday in advance of Harvey in order to have supplies on
hand for victims of Harvey. Never saw that happen before. Great Idea.

To bad when they reopen they'll be flooded by selfish animals. I was somewhat shock to hear of people down there who where set up on the side of the road selling water at 50-200% mark-up.

And watch what happens after the storm when the carpet-baggers flood in from out of State looking to cash in on the insurance claims. And many home owners left with no repairs done after they get scammed.

I witness it first hand many years back after a tornado rolled through my area I was living in at the time. Out of the wood work they came and scammed the whole block mostly seniors. One guy even pulled up in a Cadillac from out of State open his trunk up put some coverall's on and grabbed a chain-saw and ask where do you want me start.

Sam,
Wrong, They HEB lWally World are now sending trucks to the disaster zone to feed the survivors. There is no selling.
it is all for the people who need it. This is Texas, There are no scammers, who get away with it.

Good to hear. It's good publicity for them as well.
Down in Florida a few years back private truckers tried to do the same thing and where blocked. I guess the State wanted a cut that Texas will be getting.

Don't kid yourself, HEB and Wallyworld are not giving anything away for free. And they can't afford to let their base of shoppers die right.

But yeah, it's a good thing. Cause the low class rats down there won't be helping each other now will they.

SO IF they DID NOT offer the free food and goods, but opened their doors and raised their prices what would you say? Can they DO ANYTHING RIGHT in your "opinion" ?
Are they advertising "SHOP with us because we did good?" JUST MAYBE, they are saying, "We are a PART of these communities and want to our part in helping out those who are in need because the hurricane destroyed their homes and property.
Stop and THINK.

I must confess, I think a little better about our liberal neighbors on the coasts for sending help already. Maybe they aren,t all bad.
