Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the special driver for the basepin latch nut for a Ruger Blackhawk? I thought I saw it at Brownell's at one point, but I can no longer see it on their website. Maybe I am misremembering where I saw it.

Thanks!

I think BROWNELLS has a RUGER Screwdriver Hex bit set, several 1/4" Hex drive bits to fit a change tip handle with correct sizes for the Rugers. you might check with Forum Member Lance Shively, triggershims.com, I am pretty sure he has one on his bench.

Spanner Nut Driver or Spanner Bit. Home Depot or Grainger http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ecatalog/N-1z0dnxc

Sounds good guys - thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of that (well I do know, but don't want to admit it).

I appreciate this forum and you guys more and more...

Here is a Brownells driver - not a bit, but an entire assembly with handle.

Years ago I purchased just the bit from Brownells to use with their screwdriver set. It is marked "663-569", but that number no longer seems to be an active Brownells number.

That's the one I remember seeing - thanks.

I found a spanner nut bit at HD that I'm going to "modify", but I'll keep this link handy...

This what your looking for. I did have to grind mine a little thinner for my Rugers, only took a second.
