I have a blued 5 & 1/2 inch single six. It shoots extremely high, like 6 " at 25 yards. I know this is just a simple problem, I guess I need a taller front sight? Right now it has the front sight with a screw to hold it on to the barrel.

I've seen different front sights at both Brownells and Midway, but what height do I need?

I bought the gun last summer and haven't really shot it until last weekend. The groups are very good but just too darn high. Might even be 8 inches high. I was aiming below the target just to get a group on paper. All 25 yards...

Edited to add, rear sight is all the way down...

I bought and put on a MKII 22 pistol sight on one of my SS sixguns with the same problem. Worked perfectly. Buy the highest one. From a 5 1/2" bull BBL if memory serves. JACK FIRST gun parts.

And so it goes...

Hi Kevin,

If you'd like a taller front sight of the exact same ramp style as the original, ask for the Single Six .32 H&R Mag front sight. It screws on with the exact same placement on the barrel as well.

And whichever sight you decide on, if you call Ruger CS they most often will just ship you one for free.
