Single Six; Just plain fun.

Many might think the bigger bores are more manly but for a few hours of relaxing and very little investment money wise, the Single Six is just plain fun. The trigger might need to be tweaked later but most shoot pretty darn well right out of the box. :)

So far as I know, it's original....Bought it from GB a few years back, ($200 heh heh) and ser no dates it a '67 SS6...
(Does it look non stock? :?)

Got it locally years ago, "new old stock". It's an old Bianchi and now belongs to a RF pal. Yeah, it'll fit a 2" belt...

I think my favorite gun I own is a flatgate RSS that I traded an old CZ27 for a months ago. It was made in 1954 is a solid 95% gun, and thats conservative. There is just something about hearing that click...click...click...click when you pull that hammer back thats like music to my ears. I may have guns that are worth wayyyyyyyyy more money wise, but if the house flew on fire this is the first one, along maybe with my one old Colt Python that I love so much, as I ran out the door.

I bought a SS on my 21st B-day. The minute I could legally buy a handgun. Traded it away, then bought another. The SS is on of them guns you can pass around at camp, and anyone can shoot it well. The 10/22 being the other ! Bill Ruger hit them outta the park ! God Bless him.. steve b

That is a stock front sight for an Old Model "Super Single-Six"

:D No matter how much fancy hardware you bring to the range everybody wants to shoot the "little cowboy gun". Always goes bang and if you missed it wasn't the gun's fault. It ought to be your first gun, and your last. :D

There is nothing more fun to shoot than the Single Six. I have a MKII than I am WAY more accurate with, but, when going shooting, I end up shooting the SS much more! What a great gun!

This is just what I've always said the 22 is a everyday gun that at my house is used year round and shot probably 100 to 1 times more than all the others. My single six and my mklll are my most shot handguns then my 22 rifles are the most used rifles. I see people buy several thousand dollar deer rifle setups and buy a $100.00 22 this makes no sense to me. I want the best 22 I can get because it will be used everyday the deer rifle is limited to a couple of months a year.

That is the original factory Super Single Six OM front site from when the Super was introduced in 1964 until the NMs came out in 1973. They tore up a lot of holsters with that 'hook' but were a great target site. Many were replaced with the NM ramp style
