I just finished this 32 H&R (full details in the gallery section) and need more front sight.

With the rear all the way down it shot almost 2 feet high at 30 yards. The load was pretty light too.....3.0 of Green Dot with a 115 grain cast slug. I'm gonna try H110 to see if the POI changes, but I'm pretty sure I need a taller blade.

I heard the Ruger Mark III/IV front sights are a direct swap. Anyone know the tallest they make? I think the standard Single-Six is aroudn 0.375". If not, I may just make a post version out of aluminum. Thanks,

I was looking at Brownells last night for the exact same thing. I believe they had the heights listed.

The standard has the pinned sight and the target has the screw attached ramp right?

I believe the hook front sight would be a definite improvement in looks and function.

Yup, add some velocity and the POI will lower.

Ruger's .32 mag. cal. adjustable sight Single-Sixes with short barrels have screw attached, tall, front sight assemblies.

I think this is it. I'll have to look a bit more to be sure. But, the height listed is .415

This one matches the factory part number per the PDF Manual for a MKIII, and is listed at .420

I have a 5 1/2 inch adj sighted 32 mag single six and it has the screw on front sight. Order one of the sets of Hi-Viz front sights for the new single ten from Williams and it will be taller I think . Just a thought

Souldn't be much of a chore to shim under the factory sight up to .420 to see if it works before ordering. May need a longer 6x48 from the parts box.

Shimming is a possible fix, but I hate going that route. I'm going to try hotter loads. If that doesn't work I'll either buy or mill a taller front sight. I'll keep you posted.

I meant as a test sight. That 32 is too nice to leave it rigged like that :)
