Just bought this Single Six 32 at the gunshow.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement front sight?

yes, contact Ruger..that is a 'screw on 'front sight, BUT being the "short" barrel version, make sure you tell them as this is the highest of the screw on front sights, there is a difference.........

Thanks, I'll call Ruger tomorrow.
The gun is in decent condition (except for the sight). Who ever added the finish to the gun did a good job.

Is it baked-on paint? E-nickel or hard chrome?

Why is the front sight unuseable? Maybe you just need some brightly-colored epoxy to re-install the bar?

I was scratching my head and thinking "that can't be stainless!"

Yes, as Dan mentioned, request the sight for the 4-5/8" barrel. It's much better to have a too tall sight than a too short sight......

JMHO,

flatgate

PS I have 3 of the .32 mag. Single-Sixes and all are GREAT shooters.

It looks like e-nickel to me.
The front sight bar is missing.
My plan is to add a stainless Bisley hammer, and a Belt Mountain #5.

Was thinking the same thing. Thought, "Wow, I missed those!".

I have a pair and they are great, fun little buggers.

Why not just re-install the insert? Makes a great rainy-day project. Use a chunk of brightly-colored toothbrush plastic and start whittlin'! When finished, a dab of superglue keeps it there forever.

Or just dam the sides with a little c-clamp, and pour in colored epoxy. sand to shape and there you have it! (you could always jut file the existing ramp and re-color it).
