Can someone please tell me: Will a Ruger Single Seven revolver (5.5 inch barrel) and a Ruger Single Six revolver (5.5 inch barrel) fit the same holsters? I hope to find someone here who has both revolvers and has tried to use the same holster for both revolvers. Many thanks to all!

Tried it in a custom made, fully tooled rig for 6 1/2" barrel. 7 1/2 in barrel went in just fin and poked out the bottom

It's the same gun,
same holster,
the only difference is the seven has a very slightly taller front sight,
NOT ENOUGH to make ANY difference in a holster.

FWIW, I do use a hunter holster that is 40+ years old (brass snaps) both guns fit.

Thanks folks for the replies. That answers my question. I currently own a Single Six Convertible .22LR/.22mag that I woods carry in a Simply Rugged pancake holster. I was considering buying a Single Seven in the same barrel length and was wondering if it would fit my holster.

Thanks for your consideration, Ethang but I already have the holster I just don't have the Single Seven.

Everybody, I really appreciate all your informative replies! I hope you all have a very Happy New Year!

buy the Seven. It's a great woods pistol. Mine goes with me on every walk and range trip.
