Anyone know about these? I bought one a long time ago (first online deal) and didn't ask all the questions I should have. So the issue is the hammer does not lock back or cock. A guy I used to work with gave me take down instructions that were helpful but didn't detail the spring placement etc. These instructions sat in a drawer as did the rifle for years. Well I have been working on more and more things for myself and figured it was already broke so I can't really screw it up.

Tonight I took it all apart and a couple springs popped out crazy but I figured it all out. I also didn't have a good slave pin so I had to make that to put the trigger group back in.

I did not see anything wrong inside?? I figured it was a bad spring but everything was fine. As I was guessing on how to get the springs back in I thought I messed something up but in the end it was right. The trigger group had to be in place to hold the other parts in correctly.

Anyway long story long, it is just as it was when I started. Still won't cock.

Any input is welcomed.
Thanks,

Broken sear or sear notch? Not familiar enough with them to go any deeper than that speculation if the parts are all there and installed correctly.

Everything looked fine, I didn't see anything that looked damaged. I have an exploded veiw from the factory and wasn't missing any parts either. I'm at a loss. May call the factory and see if they do repair. Or sell as wall art. It is only a hundred dollar gun when working in my opinion.

Thanks,

What? You mean hold the trigger and let the hammer fly. It will go off then for sure. It is a single shot haha.

Drawings just incase that helps someone help me. The first is something I found on gunbroker a long time ago but it is actually short the trigger spring.

sometimes the issue is simply the yoke ( mainspring strut) is in upside down, or the hole may be plugged not allow the hammer to come back far enough to engage the sear & notch, maybe wrong spring size (length)?)...would have to really see it, been a LONG time since we had the shop and the single barrel are really not that complicated...my son will tell you its probably on youtube "someplace'

LOL, youtube. You can find a lot of things on youtube for sure. Some good and some bad. haha

Per the drawings all looked good. I'm at a loss. (more ways than one really. Lost on the broke gun when I bought it with no warranty and now because I can't figure it out.

I use this when reassembling an H&R or NEF.

That looks good. Thanks. I'll read it over and see if I can figure anything out.
