Hawkeye Single Shot Pistol

My Hawkeye front sight was replaced and it’s much too tall. I’m going to file it down and cut new serrations.

Can anyone provide a measurement from the bottom of the barrel to the highest point of the front sight blade?

Mine measures .965

Mine is in the 19xx serial number range and my dial caliper gives the measurement as .975".
