In his sermon yesterday morning, my pastor made the following comment:

"Mass shootings aren't the results of guns. Its because we have taken the Ten Commandments out of our class rooms, we have taken responsibility from actions, we have removed absolute authority, we have removed God from our lives."

Not exactly word-for-word, but pretty much the quote.

Did the pastor mention the "spare the rod, spoil the child" mentality? And, yes, folks, there's a HUGE difference between swatting a little miscreant on the bum a time or two for doing something they already knew the punishment for, and the kind of physical "punishment" that puts kids in the E.R.

Add drugs to control behaviors in young children when discipline used to change that behavior. Put them all together and you have the truth.

This did bring up a thought. Assuming the communists do finally win, and unless something radical happens I think they will win, those useful idiot that lacked discipline and personal accountability are in for a very very rude awakening. He did indeed! He is the father of four boys and three girls. And he has noted many times how such punishment is to be correctly applied.

Hi,

When the news reported Madalyn Murray O'Hair had won her "no school prayer" case in front of SCOTUS ('63) I recall my mother becoming livid and saying something to the effect of "It's all over now" or similar, predicting the downfall of society as we knew it coming as a result of the case.

I find it somewhat interesting that Ms. O'Hair's case began in Baltimore. I wonder how many folks who lived in B-more at the time could have believed what their City would become in the next 40-50 years. An avowed atheist, I also wonder how many times she might have changed her mind in her last moments and invoked God's help as she, her son and granddaughter were being murdered and mutilated. Just thinking of the old adage "There are no atheists in foxholes" as it might apply in this scenario.
