You should be able to get $25 for the box of Super Vel, maybe more. List it in the classifieds here or take it to the next gunshow. That and skipping lunch a few times this month and maybe you won't have to sell another gun to finance this deal. Good Luck!

Ya, skipping lunch would not hurt me any. The super vel is missing about 5 or 6 rounds so might not be worth that much.
I just found the 2 3/4" SS service six Friday so now I got all three snubs in SS. I have NIB GP100 3" That I could sell pretty Quick but I am going to try to hold on to that and the 4" speed six. If the economy gets any worse here I might be selling a lot of guns...

Thanks Tom maybe worth more than I thought although mine are .357 and are Brass and not Nickel.

Upon closer inspection of my super vel ammo it is not super vel but sako in a super vel box. Well can't win them all!!! any one need a super vel box.

Doing a little research I found this

"Lee Jurras was making his own JHP bullets in house, but buying his cases from Norma, Sako, and finally Federal.
He had no production facility to make his own cases.

First a dock strike cut off imported brass from Norma & Sako, and he had to air freight his brass into the country for a while.
So then he got a contract with Federal to make his Super-Vel head stamped cases.

When Federal and the other the big manufactures saw the way things were going at Super-Vel (1 million .38 cases a week) they cut off his brass supply and the company went under shortly afterward.

Then, everybody else started making JHP handgun ammo, none of which was nearly as good as Super-Vel, for many years afterward.

Today, it would be a big anti-trust lawsuit waiting to happen. Back then it was just everybody doing business as usual"

So if that is the case these may be some of his first hand loads!
