I just took off some aftermarket grips on a new to me Security six.A pin fell out on bench [disassembly pin?] Where does this pin go?Also what is the thread size of original grip screw [i got grips with gun but no screw] Stainless gun is in great condition Thanks Paul

The pin allows you to remove the strut from the gun. With the grips off slowly pull the hammer back while watching the bottom of the strut. You will see a hole in the strut where you insert the pin and then release pressure on the hammer. You should be able to remove the strut. But you probably knew all of this already. I have 3 Service Sixes and one Speed Six none of them came with the take down pin. I can't help with the size of the grip screw. I bought one recently from Numrich. I'm sure Roninpa will chime in with the screw dimensions. Enjoy you SS!

BAM!!! :P

The thread is an 8-36. The shaft length is 1 1/16". The thickness of the head is 1/8". You can get original grip screws from Numrich or look for a fillister head screw of those dimensions.
