Security Six Barrel Swap Question

Was wondering, if one were to take off the barrel of a 4" Security Six & swap in a 2 3/4" one, from the same or any of the other versions of the Six Series guns, would the crane, etc, of the original Security Six all line up & work without modifications?

the front sight height and the "set back" of the barrel into the cylinder frame "window" are the only issues or problems...you're ONLY changing the barrel, NOT the lockwork........................

1Rugerfan, I think what your "wondering" about is the ejector rod housing on the barrels. The housing is the same for all three of the six-series revolvers regardless of barrel size. What rugerguy said applies...............Dick :wink:
