Doing my usual trolling on the genie considering picking up one of the Vaquero single sixes, not many left.

Wait, what do I see but 1 SS Bearcat available. I clicked quote and accept as quick as I could!

YES!

Luckily I have a FFL 10 minutes down the road that always offers a great quote so did not have to consider all the quotes just grabbed his.

I am very happy, my 10 year old (and I) will love it as my single six is a little big yet for him to hold consistently.

By the way, thank you to all the Bearcat fans on this site. Reading all of your material made the decision to chase one of these easy.

So, now grab a Vaquero single-six as well or not? Just how much dog house time can I stomach?

Congratulations! I got one each out of Genie's last two shipments. They are a really fun little gun.

I do highly recommend EWK's ejector housings, makes a Bearcat perfect, I think.

I saw one was available this morning around 0630 and was tempted (after two visits their site) and almost jumped on it.

But not being that desperate to grab one, I decided to pass for now.

Years ago, the Bearcat was not that popular. I think because of the fixed sights. They were little jewels, but could not compete with S&W Kit Guns in the field. They are compact, but fit all hand sizes.
For what reason, I bought one. Stayed in safe. Seems now, worth weight in gold. And, I can't quote serial numbers or little differences.
Neat handgun.

Glad Ranger1 was able to pass it up this morning.

I was on the stock watch and got the email mid week that a new shipment was in but by the time I got to the site 10 minutes later they were gone.

I do see them around the dealers but the price is usually pretty high so I consider myself lucky.

Going to check out the ejector housing since Bearcatter so conveniently provided the link.

Now all you need to do is contact EWK Arms for a stainless ejector rod housing and your gun will be perfect. There is a link in the Bearcat Stainless? thread.

I only know Eric (EWK) from this forum, and I don't make a cent from the housings. I am just very grateful that his housings turning up, as I Googled info on Bearcats, made my getting a Bearcat an easy decision. I was so happy with the first Bearcat and housing, I had to get a second Bearcat and housing. I got a third housing as a spare! I might get a third Bearcat someday, and he might have retired on his ejector housing millions.......
