Tbear, I like what you said and I agree with it, when you don't have support, that's the way to do it and I like your trick with the mirror, one of these days I'll have to try it.

I got me a new Mini 14 Tactical cause I loved the look, then I put a Ultradot red dot scope on it and took a while to get used to keeping both eyes open. yes it is hell on hogs at 100 plus yards, but after hunting season I got to go back to iron sights it came with, it is one beautiful rifle with open sights. decisions, decisions. next time I use it for hunting I may go with quality scope like a Bushnell 4200 and put the red dot on my mini 30. Damn, why is life so damn hard when it comes to a good rifle??
