Scope for Blackhawk

Just getting interested in using my .45 Blackhawk for deer but with these old eyes I need a scope. Scope is not the problem, what can I do about a mount? Don't want to drill and tap, any suggestions.

The Weaver no-gunsmithing mount is very popular and generally gets good reviews. No personal experience, though.

can't help with the non-drill & tap method. Only one I've had done was with a D&T mount, a Leupold one. had no qualms about it since I knew even those 18 years ago, it was gonna be a keeper and nothing I'd worry about in terms of loss of value, etc. Just never felt too strong (pun intended) about the easy-off mounts.

I have the Weaver mount on my .30 Carbine Blackhawk. I've had it on there for a couple of years and have not had any problems with it. Bought it from Midway.

Another vote for the Weaver.

I've got one on my Super:

Holds tight and my loads, while not thermo-nukes, aren't too gentle.

Yep.. I've got the Weaver on a very nice OM SC6. Works very well!
