Does anyone here have a 460 S&W and would you be willing to share your accuracy results?

I recently bought a Performance Center model with the 14" barrel + muzzle break. It has been doing okay, but it's not blowing me away with it's accuracy.

So far i've shot 80 rounds, 20 factory Hornady 200 g and 60 handloads with the Barnes 200 g, Hornady 240 g, Hornday 300 g, and Cast Performance 300 g. All seem to group around 4" at 100 yards.

I was really hoping to get something close to minute of angle like I see with my Freedom Arms.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to take this gun to ID for a bear hunt next month.

I have the 7 1/2" barreled model and with the 200gr Hornady loads I was able to shoot "minute of deer vitals" at 50yds. A scope would be better for me and probably make for very satisfactory accuracy. JMO

I have the 8 3/8 with a 2x6 scope that I haven't shot properly for a couple years. The last time I did off the "Pistol Perch", it was 1.5" average, with 200 gr. factory and 360 gr. LBTs at 1750 FPS.

Thanks for the input guys. I tried magnum rifle primers today and saw a noteable improvment over identical loads with standard rifle primers. I'll keep playing with these loads to see if they get me closer to where I want to go.

The gun sure is a hoot to shoot!
