Rush's replacement: what do you think?

I must admit that I am not particularly enjoying the replacement duo that took over the former Rush Limbaugh show. Not sure why, but it sure is not anything like Rush. I've switched to listening to Dan Bongino in that same time slot.

Rush was a one of a kind, nobody will be Rush again but somebody had to take his time slot and hopefully be themselves and not try to be somebody else...my opinion only...btw I haven't heard the new duo taking his slot...

I've listened to portions of all four of their shows to date. They're no better and not much worse than any of the two or three other guys who have been filling in since Rush's passing. So far they're giving me little if any reason to keep listening.

I've been switching over to Dana Loesch about 1:30 each day and listening to her till she goes off at 3. You can hear her from noon to 3PM eastern time here:

Later in the evening while listening to Mark Levin, during the commercials I catch up on the first part of Dana's show (FFing through her commercials, of course).

I am listening more often to Ben Shapiro. Sometimes hard to understand due to his accent and his speed, but he is right up there with Rush in calling out the Left. He would have been a good choice to replace Rush. But my favorite would have been Mark Steyn. Maybe these two were not interested, but that would amaze me since having Rush's 20 million plus audience is an unmatchable way to begin.

It's ok, but I always made sure not to miss Rush. Now I tune in if nothing else to listen to. I find myself listening to Mark Bellings podcasts out of Milwaukee. He too filled in for Rush many times.

I have a completely different take on this, I subscribe to the Limbaugh newsletter and have listened to Rush since ‘91. I also subscribe to The Blaze so I’m very familiar with Buck Sexton and I subscribe to Outkick on YouTube so I’m also familiar with Clay Travis. I think they’re doing just fine and will get better with time, Buck’s military and government experience and Clay being a lawyer and sports commentator dovetail nicely with what Rush did every day. No one can replace Rush but I’m in the so far so good camp with Buck and Clay.

There is no replacing Rush.

We need to accept that. And move on.
Eventually, someone else will rise to prominence. They will do so on their own merits. Or not.

Rush was in tune with his audience. That was his allure. He was always right, because he mirrored the views of his audience.
Whomever takes his place would do well to remember that model.

There are not new hosts.
No one has taken over for Limbaugh.
There is no more Rush Limbaugh.
There is no more Rush Limbaugh show.

With the death of Rush and the end of his show, there was an empty time slot.

Give the new program and the hosts a chance. They are good guys doing a good job.

Remember - Al Franken had a talk show once -
